A Small Milestone: My First Shopify App Has Been Approved
For many years, I had a goal in the back of my mind: to build and publish a Shopify app.
As someone who has spent most of my career in the software service industry, working with clients, managing projects, leading teams, and meeting deadlines, there was always another priority waiting. Even though the desire was there, I never found the right time to start.
During the last Eid holiday, I decided to change that.
Instead of spending the entire holiday relaxing, I set a simple goal for myself:
Build and submit the MVP of Smart CRO Agent to the Shopify App Store.
After days of planning, development, testing, debugging, and documentation, I finally submitted the app for review.
And Alhamdulillah, today Smart CRO Agent has officially been approved on the Shopify App Store. 🚀
Some people may see it as a small achievement, and honestly, I agree. This is not the finish line. In many ways, it is just the beginning.
There is still a long journey ahead:
Gathering merchant feedback
Improving the AI recommendations
Adding new features
Growing the user base
Building a sustainable SaaS product
But despite all that, seeing a product I built appear on the Shopify App Store gives me a special kind of satisfaction.

Lessons From This Journey
One thing I have learned over the years is that many good ideas never become reality because we keep waiting for the perfect time.
The perfect time rarely comes.
Sometimes the best approach is simply to start with a small version, launch it, learn from users, and improve along the way.
This app exists today because I decided to use a holiday to build instead of waiting for a future opportunity.
